Following a period of promoting The Devil Wears Prada 2, Anne Hathaway surprised fans with a personal announcement about her third pregnancy.

On Friday she shared a video via Instagram to reveal the update and captioned it with the words x Baby I'm yours x.

Hathaway at age 43 has previously discussed her challenges with conception and a miscarriage she experienced in 2015.

For everyone going through infertility and conception hell please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies she noted in a 2019 Instagram post when revealing her second pregnancy with Jack.

Hathaway has been wed to actor producer and jewelry designer Adam Shulman for close to 14 years and they have two sons named Jonathan age 10 and Jack age 6.

Hathaway and Shulman first connected at the Palm Springs Film Festival in 2008

They were introduced by a shared acquaintance during a difficult period for Hathaway.

I knew from the second I met him that he was the love of my life she explained to Harper's Bazaar UK. I also knew that I couldn't have met him at a worse time.

She had recently ended her relationship with entrepreneur Raffaello Follieri who faced sentencing for fraud and money laundering charges shortly afterward. Still she recognized Shulman as someone special right away.

Following about three years together Shulman proposed.

The couple held a simple wedding ceremony

Roughly one year after the proposal Hathaway and Shulman married in Big Sur California on September 29 2012.

The event stayed modest with Hathaway wearing no jewelry and none of the 150 guests including major celebrities according to reports.

It was just friends and family a guest shared. No movie stars. There were only a few people in the business there like her stunt double.

Their sons Jonathan and Jack arrived in 2016 and 2019

The brothers are separated by roughly three years in age.

Hathaway has described how becoming a mother transformed her perspective. I didn't feel fully landed and fully here until I was a mom she shared with WSJ Magazine in March 2022. It's not like I was lacking integrity but it made me want to be completely on every level true to my word.

Hathaway maintains privacy around her family

She prefers to keep her public profile and home life distinct.

She waited until 11 months after Jack's birth to share his name publicly during a spot on Live with Kelly and Ryan.

My family has needs and one of the needs of children is that they need to be able to define their own lives she told Porter in November 2023.

It doesn't even occur to me to link the two up except through gratitude that they serve each other so beautifully. But they serve each other through me and not through a space that's outside of myself.
